The National Schools Regatta 1998

Founder's Cup

Fastest time : King's College School - 4.42.06 - 1997 (1500m)
Holder : King's College School, Wimbledon

This cup was originally presented by Desmond Hill in 1964 for the fastest Fourth Eight. It was typical of Desmond Hill that he would not allow his name to be put on the cup, but he reluctantly agreed to let it be named the Secretarys Cup. In 1974 it was re-allocated to Junior Under 15 Eights and in 1985 it was renamed the Founders Cup by the Committee.
