Saturday Races 2001
Founder's Cup

Fastest time : King's School Chester - 6.19.39 - 1999
Holder : King's School, Chester

Distance : 2000m This cup was originally presented by Desmond Hill in 1964 for the fastest Fourth Eight. It was typical of Desmond Hill that he would not allow his name to be put on the cup, but he reluctantly agreed to let it be named the Secretary's Cup. In 1974 it was re-allocated to Junior Under 15 Eights and in 1985 it was renamed the Founder's Cup by the Committee.
