Additions and alterations for the 2008 Regatta.

  1. A J16 Second Eights event will be offered for a trial and the J15 and J16 eights events will be reclassified to mirror those in the J18 age group so there will be championship eights, first eights and second eights events for boys in each age group (J15,J16,and J18). Apart from age, the only prerequisite for these events will be that in all cases no school or club may enter a crew for the second eights event unless it has at least one crew in either the championship or first eights events.

  2. Crews entering the Third Eights event may now contain up to 3 J16s (excluding cox).

  3. Time trials will be run on Friday (as on Saturday and Sunday) for all events with over 12 entries. The Friday time trials will be rowed over 1000m.

  4. Each competitor or crew shall have a named manager/coach. The coach must be over 18, named on the entry form and a current mobile phone number must be provided. (This information will be kept securely by the entries secretary, but will be readily available if it becomes necessary to contact the coach urgently.)

  5. Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing cost of staging the regatta, the Committee have to give notice that the competitor's entrance fees will probably have to rise for the 2009 regatta.
